Name: Antonio Talavera


Working at Vilspa/ESAC since 1983:

 - Resident Astronomer at IUE. 
 - SOC responsible at the Spanish Minisat-01 mission.
 - Instrument and calibration scientist of the OM in XMM-Newton.

Specialist in high resolution spectroscopy in the visible and UV.

My fields of research have been:

 - Stellar winds and mass loss in A-type supergiants
 - Chromospheres in A/F type stars
 - Spectroscopy of Herbig Ae/Be stars
 - Protoplanetary disks in PMS stars

A project/wish/dream: stellar spectroscopy in the 3000A-3500A range
with the Optical/UV Monitor (OM) on board XMM-Newton
