Maria Dolores Caballero Garcia PhD Student LAEFF I am a PhD student, supported with a grant from MEC (acronym of the Ministerio de Educacion y Ciencia). I began my thesis in 2003 under the OMC project with J. M. Mas-Hesse as my supervisor. OMC is the optical monitor on-board INTEGRAL. Until 2006 I worked supporting OMC in the construction of the OMC Input Catalogue (i.e. OMCIC), which is delivered every year and is the catalogue of all the sources observed and monitored by OMC. Also, as research work, I was focused on the extraction and study of light curves from OMC and modeling of light curves of binary systems. This work is a part of collaboration with people from Barcelona and the United States (namely, I. Ribas and G. Torres). This work is actually still in progress. Since 2006 I am working also in black hole transients observed with INTEGRAL as a part of collaboration with people from ESAC and the United States (namely, E. Kuulkers, P. Kretschmar and J. M. Miller). I hope this topic will be the core of my thesis work, which I hope to get finished in two years.
