Mauro López del Fresno LAEFF I am working at LAEFF, in the Spanish Virtual Observatory. In the near future I will be making programs to analyze light curves and applying some data mining techniques to the data. Now I am programming shell scripts for automated tasks. My life seems to be outside the Earth (my former job was on Astrobiology), but I am a computer engineer. So almost everything about stars, galaxies and energy sources are fascinating new things for me. Just to satisfy the little scientist inside of me I am doing my PhD on Artificial Intelligence, particularly on classification techniques for variable stars. In collaboration with Luis Manuel Sarro from the UNED (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia) we get results which were presented in ADASS (year 2005). At this moment we are preparing the classificator that will be used for the CoRoT mission. So if you need something about (semi)Naive Bayes or Bayesian classifiers I am your man.
