Eduardo Ojero Pascual ESA XMM-Newton Eduardo Ojero Pascual works since April 2003 as SAS Software Integration Engineer for the XMM-Newton project. At ESAC, formerly Vilspa, since the beginning of 1989, worked for three different projects since then: IUE until 1997, ISO for only six months and since 1998, in the XMM-Newton team. For IUE worked as System Engineer in the support to the Science Operations, including the processing, archive and distribution of IUE data. For ISO, worked as well as System Engineer in the computer support team. From 1998 until 2003 worked in the team which integrated and supported the operational and scientific computers and networks for the XMM-Newton SOC. Physicist with strong background in observational astronomy (from 1980 until 1988 worked as support astronomer in the Calar Alto Observatory in Almeria, Spain, operated by the Max Planck Institut fur Astronomie of Heidelberg, Germany). On information Technologies, he has developed all his career as System Engineer in ESAC with a strong interest in open software technologies (Linux and GNU software and tools, like GNU gcc, autoconf, make, CVS, subversion, etc) applied to astronomical data processing and distribution. Interests: Software development for astronomical data, processing of astronomical data, data pipelining, etc.
