USEFUL Information

You will need to collect a visitor badge each morning by presenting your passport or equivalent. The meetings, BBQ and lunch will be served in different locations as shown on this ESAC map.

HOTEL Booking

• We have made hotel block bookings (map) 8-12 May 2016 in the following two hotels. Note that there are only a limited number of rooms available at a negotiated price, both including breakfast, early booking is advised.

• In case you are unable to secure a room in one of the above hotels ESAC is located some 30 km west of Madrid and it will thus be best to search for a hotel in the western parts of Madrid (see map). Some hotels in this area are:

Transportation

• Buses will be organised to bring you to ESAC in the morning and to take you back to Madrid at the end of the day (or to the airport on Thursday 12th). The pick up and drop off points will be at the 2 block booked hotels listed above.

• For independent travel by public transport, taxi, or car from Madrid to ESAC, see description How to get to ESAC or here.
• The airport of Madrid is connected to the Metro system, providing service to the center of Madrid within 30 minutes for the price of 4,50 €. Find more information here. 
  Depending on traffic, a taxi from the airport to the centre of Madrid takes about the same time or longer and costs 30 € fixed price. 
  For taxi rides to other locations, prices can be calculated with this tool. This tool is external to ESA, we cannot guarantee it is updated, neither do we endorse this tool to be better than others that may exist.

Social event

• A social dinner has been planned (cost included in €50 registration fee). It will take place at Restaurante Sagaretxe, Eloy Gonzalo 26 (map) the menu can be seen here.
