HOW TO GET TO ESTEC

 

The conference will be held at the Space Research and Technology Centre of the European Space Agency (ESA/ESTEC), located 35 km south-west of Amsterdam. A link to the general ESA pages on how to reach us is here.

To get to/from ESTEC early in the morning and late in the evening we suggest using the public bus.

  • To reach Leiden Station, use bus no. 30 and 31.

  • To reach the Noordwijk hotel area, use bus no. 90 and 385. 

  • To reach the Katwijk hotel area, use bus no. 31.

If you intend to make use of the public bus service, you could consider buying a chip card ("OV-chipkaart"), for example at the Leiden train station. The card itself costs 7.50 euro, but the bus fare is then significantly cheaper than buying a ticket on the bus itself. An OV chip card loading/service point has been installed in ESTEC next to the main reception and the gate house.
