Euclid Data Release DR1: update

We would like to share an update on the Euclid Data Release 1 (DR1) timeline for the scientific community. In order to maximise the scientific value of an exceptionally rich dataset, the release will proceed in two stages.

In November 2026, Euclid will release all raw data and calibrated images, catalogues, spectra, covering a large sky area of about 1900 deg² (DR1-Foundation).

The complete DR1, including the higher-level science products for galaxy clustering and weak lensing studies, will then follow in mid-2027.

This updated schedule reflects the scale and quality of the observations now available. With such a substantial dataset in hand, additional time is needed to process and validate the higher-level science products across this large survey area, ensuring that the community receives the most robust and scientifically valuable release possible.

We look forward to sharing this unique dataset with the community and invite researchers to get ready for the first stage of the release in November 2026.
