Euclid Data Release 1: expected coverage

This page illustrates the anticipated sky coverage for the Euclid Data Release 1 (DR1).

The images below show the coverage of the Euclid Wide Survey observations, as processed by the Euclid Consortium Science Ground Segment for the purpose of the DR1 data release. These observations are overlaid on the Gaia Early Data Release 3 (EDR3) all sky colour image.

• The green area marks the area targeted by the Euclid Wide Survey.
• The blue patches indicate the observations intended for DR1 processing. However, inclusion in DR1 is not guaranteed for all blue-marked areas, as issues with the data may arise during the processing.

The total area shown in blue spans approximately 2100 square degrees, with the final expected DR1 coverage estimated to be around 1900 square degrees.
