Andrew Holland is an expert in detector physics, having worked previously on a range of detector developments including XMM-Newton/EPIC and Swift. Andrew was a member of the Gaia Science Team from October 2001 until December 2005. During this period he also advised the Gaia project on Gaia CCD and instrument-related issues, in particular the CCD radiation damage effects and prediction of on-orbit performance.
