Annie Robin Observatoire de Besançon |
Annie Robin's research is dedicated to studies of Galactic structure and evolution. Along with several collaborators in Besançon, and from Michel Crézé's original scheme, she has developed a model of population synthesis of the Galaxy as a tool to help understand and interpret the observations in terms of galactic formation and evolution, dynamics and dark matter distribution. Her involvement in Gaia is mainly related to simulations of the stars visible with Gaia and their properties. This also includes variable stars, binary stars, and incorporates a detailed 3D interstellar extinction distribution. Annie also develops, with the Besançon team, a method to select science alerts from the Gaia data and a Bayesian classification tool. [Published: 25/07/2005] |
