Claus Fabricius worked for many years at the University of Copenhagen, initially taking part in the Carlsberg Meridian Circle project on La Palma, and later participating in the construction of the Tycho-1 and Tycho-2 catalogues. In 2002 he joined the Gaia data analysis prototype (GDAAS), that was being developed by GMV (Madrid) and the University of Barcelona.
Now based in Barcelona, he is involved in preparing the data analysis for Gaia, in particular in the aspects of the initial treatment of the observations, and in the calibration of the photometric data.
