Cyril Vétel EADS-Astrium (Toulouse) |
Cyril Vétel is a member of the EADS Astrium team in charge of the Gaia "CCD and Focal Plane Technology Demonstrators" where he is responsible for the CCD engineering activities (CCD development, radiation tests and radiation damage modelling). Cyril has been involved in Gaia for many years. Already in 1999 he led a testing programme for performance assessment of an e2v Gaia-like CCD in TDI mode. More recently, he led a Gaia Astro CCD characterisation test campaign at EADS Astrium that provided encouraging centroiding test results in TDI mode (see Picture of the week, 2004-12-20). He is also in charge of one of the two FPA Demonstrators developed by Astrium, the Electro-Optical Demonstrator (FPA EODM), that successfully passed the Test Readiness Review early December 2004 (see news item 2004-12-14).
