Emilio joined ESAC in July 2015 as Science Operations Engineer in the Science and Robotics Exploration Directorate, supporting the Gaia project.
Emilio is a creative and enthusiastic team player. He studied Electronics and Aerospace Engineering and holds a Master of Science in Space Systems Engineering from the Technical University of Delft. He has worked for several companies in the space industry, including Deimos-Space where he tested software for ESA's Galileo project as software engineer. Later, he worked as electro-optical engineer on the development and verification of a star tracker at the Dutch company ISIS in Delft. For Elecnor Deimos, he worked as Space Systems Engineer, contributing to the verification and validation of space and ground segments of the Deimos-2 optical VHR mission.
Over the years, Emilio has developed his passion for space and software, together with his broad view of complex systems.
