Frédéric Thévenin - Gaia
Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur
Frédéric Thévenin works at the Observatoire de la Cóte d'Azur, France. His main interest in astronomy is the stellar atmospheres and fundamental parameters of late-type stars, in particular the chemical element abundances of these objects. Most of Frédéric's research is devoted to the development of 3D NLTE atmospheres. More recently he has been involved in some asteroseismology studies and in the measurement of stellar radii with the VLTI.
From 2001 to 2005 Frédéric was a member of the Gaia Radial Velocity Spectrometer working group supporting scientific preparation of the mission. He is now involved in the development of the data analysis for spectroscopic processing (CU6) and for astrophysical parameters (CU8).
