Mullard Space Science Laboratory, |
Howard Huckle is a Software Systems Engineer at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory. He graduated in Astronomy from University College London more years ago than he cares to remember. Since then he has been involved in many satellite projects, working in areas from ground data handling and analysis systems through on-board control code. Most recently, he was responsible for the overall software design for the Instrument Control Units of the UV-Optical Telescopes for both NASA's Swift Gamma Ray Burst and ESA's XMM-Newton missions. He started working in November 2006 on the Gaia project as MSSL's software coordinator for its contributions to CU6 (Spectroscopic Processing), namely the Spectral Extraction and RVS Calibration work packages. After almost 10 years of working for the CU6, Howard will retire and leave MSSL at the end of March. We thank him for his fundamental contribution and we hope that he will continue to provide his valuable advice to the MSSL team. [Published: 16/04/2007 | Updated: 03/03/2016] |
