Jean-François Pasquier EADS-Astrium (Toulouse) |
Jean-Francois Pasquier is a member of the EADS Astrium team in Toulouse. Since 2008, he's been working on different scientific aspects of the payload module. He started by being responsible of the video processing algorithms implemented inside the Video Processing Unit (VPU), whose role is to detect, sort, track, and acquire in real time the 1 billion stars to be seen by Gaia. He also contributed to the global performance assessment of the payload module, and he's now in charge of the CCD radiation tests. These tests, defined together with DPAC, are intended to characterize the impact of the radiations on the e2v CCDs for the different instruments, and make sure that these effects can be efficiently calibrated on ground.
