Krzysztof Findeisen joined GEPI and the Gaia team as a postdoc in November 2014. He is working in CU9 on the validation of the Gaia data and pipeline.
Following a degree in astronomy and computer science at Cornell University, Krzysztof obtained his PhD in 2015 [sic] at the California Institute of Technology on "New Insights from Aperiodic Variability". His work at Caltech included developing new methods to extract information from photometric light curves produced by the Palomar Transient Factory (PTF) and Young Stellar Variability (YSOVAR) surveys. His research interests include the application of new statistical and software engineering methods to problems in astronomy.
