Bertrand Plez (MARCS), Nicole Nesvacil (ATLAS) and Peter Hauschildt (PHOENIX) attended the Gaia Spectroscopy Conference in Monte Rosa, Italy, September 2002, and spoke about their respective atmospheric modelling activities, which are now being used to support the preparations for the mission in the areas of simulations, photometry, radial velocity and spectroscopy measurements, and classification.
