Paola M. Marrese completed her PhD in 2004 at the Astronomy Department of Padova University. During her PhD she worked on the assessment of the Gaia performances on double-lined eclipsing binaries and the accuracy achievable on the determination of the fundamental stellar parameters. From 2005 to 2009 she was a postdoctoral fellow at Leiden Observatory in The Netherlands where she worked, in collaboration with Anthony Brown, on the photometric data analysis and reduction. She is now a postdoctoral fellow at ASDC (ASI Science Data Center) where she works on the development of the methods and algorithms for the processing of the dispersed images from BP/RP, in particular crowding evaluation, SSCs determination and background (both instrumental and astrophysical) modellization and subtraction. She is a member of the Photometry Coordination Unit (CU5). [Published: 17/05/2005 | Updated: 16/11/2010] |
