Pasquale Panuzzo works at the Observatoire de Paris (GEPI) in Meudon. He graduated from Padova University (Italy), and in 2003 he got a PhD in Astrophysics at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste, with a thesis on dust attenuation and nebular emission in star forming galaxies. From 2003 to 2012 Pasquale worked for the ESA Herschel mission at Imperial College (UK), the Astronomical Observatory of Padova (Italy) and the Service d'Astrophysique of the CEA in Saclay (France). During his participation as Associate Scientist in the SPIRE Instrument Control Center, he contributed to various aspects of the project: development of code for the SPIRE pipeline, management of the development team, commissioning activities and characterization of the SPIRE instrument. Pasquale has done scientific research on several subjects in astrophysics, for example the spectro-photometric models of dusty galaxies and the study of early type galaxies. He also participated in several Herschel observational programmes in various domains, ranging from the Solar System to nearby galaxies and cosmological surveys.
