Summary: This document describes the construction of a semi-empirical library of galaxy spectra that will be used in cycle 4 of simulations. The library constists of approximately 33600 spectra from SDSS which were compared through 2-fitting with the second library of synthetic galaxy spectra and found in good agreement with them. Based on this comparison the observational spectra were extended to the Gaia wavelength range and known astrophysical parameters were assigned to them.
