Bernhard Fleck

SOHO, Hinode & IRIS Project Scientist and Mission Manager

Main Research Fields

My scientific interests include the dynamics and energetics of the solar atmosphere, in particular the wave-propagation characteristics of gravity waves and high-frequency acoustic waves in the photosphere and chromosphere. I study advanced 3D radiation magneto-hydrodynamic simulations of the solar atmosphere and data from SOHO, Hinode, IRIS, SDO and various ground-based observatories, including ALMA, DST and SST. I am a member of the Waves in the Lower Solar Atmosphere (WALSA) team: https://walsa.team
