My main scientific interests are the early stages of star formation. I specialise in numerical hydrodynamic and radiative transfer calculations of the formation of stellar multiple systems. I have developed my own Monte Carlo radiative transfer code, which performs calculations directly on an ensemble of kernel-smoothed particles (i.e. snapshots from SPH simulations). I am also interested in using graph-theory and machine learning to quantitatively describe to structure of star clusters.
