Description
 

This dataset consists of two components:

  1. Recalibrated Venus Express near-IR nightside Venus Monitoring Camera images, corrected by applying a procedure to compensate for incorrect flat-fielding, and
  2. A segmented map of surface relative emissivity at 1 μm for the northern and equatorial regions of Venus.


Advanced image processing and radiative transfer modelling have been applied to improve surface signal retrieval. The dataset is accompanied by a Product User Guide and a supplementary document providing scientific details of the data processing steps and a description of the image metadata.
