VENUE INFORMATION


The 18th Space Science Workshop (SSW) will be held at El Parador de La Granja, located in the beautiful town of La Granja de San Ildefonso, approximately 80 kilometres from Madrid and 11 kilometres from Segovia. This charming garden city was once a favoured retreat for the monarchy, who found here a shelter for their leisure activities.

The Parador is made up of two historic buildings:

El Parador de La Granja is in the Casa de los Infantes building, which was built in the 18th century by Carlos III for his sons, the Infantes Gabriel and Antonio.

  

The former barracks of the Guardia de Corps now houses the Parador’s modern Guardia de Corps Conference and Convention Centre.
