Planetary and Space Science: Special Issue on Science and Exploration of Lunar Resources with ESA’s PROSPECT Package

This Special Issue focusses on the scientific and exploration investigations enabled by specific hardware elements in the PROSPECT package, and the output of scientific research necessitated by the systems’ technical development. A great deal of work in this area has been accomplished by the PROSPECT User Group, a body of experts, appointed throughout Phase B development, to represent the end users of the PROSPECT package. Submissions to this Virtual Special Issue (VSI) are expected to represent the output of the PROSPECT User Group and the research activities they have conducted to inform payload development. Additionally, submissions regarding aspects of lunar science and exploration that are related to the PROSPECT objectives are welcome.

Please note the following timeline:

  • Submission deadline — 01 February 2019
  • Final acceptance — 01 July 2019
