Pyxel v1.0 launch event

We are happy to announce that Pyxel has just recently reached a stable version 1.0.0! To celebrate together, we are preparing a launch event to show you all the exciting new features. The event will take place on March 10 at 15:00 (CET) on Microsoft Teams.

Version 1.0 brings parallel computing in observation mode, new models (dark current, non-linearity, ADC), simplified detector properties for easier usage and contribution, more options for saving outputs, various bug fixes, updated documentation and new examples. All the existing models were reviewed documentation was improved.

 About the event

At the launch event, we will first give a quick tour of Pyxel and present: motivation, concept and basic principles, implemented models. We will continue with installation instructions and an overview of new features.

In the second part we will do a live demo of Pyxel showcasing new examples like simulations of HXRG detectors, and simulating exoplanet transits with observation mode and more. A Q&A session will follow where you can ask everything you want to know about Pyxel. This will be a unique chance to interact with all Pyxel developers, and take a deep dive in the code together.

You can register for the event in the registration page! Link for Microsoft Teams is provided here:
