Where to stay in Madrid, and how to get to ESAC

The workshop will take place at the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC), Villanueva de la Cañada, near Madrid. 

 

Hotels

The recommended workshop hotel in downtown Madrid is the Hotel Exe Moncloa.
Rooms have been pre-booked at a rate of 85 euros (including IVA and Breakfast).

Hotel Exe is close to Moncloa Metro station and a number of alternative hotels exist in the Plaza Espana area which is two metro stops from Moncloa. There are now very few hotels with availability in walking distance to Hotel Exe. Plaza Espana is about 1.5 Km.

Shuttle Bus Service

A shuttle bus from the Hotel Exe Moncloa in Madrid to ESAC and back will be organised for all registered participants.

The bus will leave from outside Hotel Exe and the schedule is as follows:
Monday, 21-Nov at 08:45
Tuesday, 22-Nov at 07:45

 

Arriving at ESAC

ESAC is difficult to reach by public transport and taxi drivers from Madrid often don't know the location, while the street address is usually not found in GPS systems. Please see the instructions here.
