Ulysses Upper Equipment Bay

You clicked on a Reaction Control Subsystem 'Standoff'

Standoffs are brackets which hold Reaction Control Subsystem (RCS) components, primarily fuel pipes, to the spacecraft structure. Pipe sections are held away from direct contact with the walls of the equipment bay for structural reasons, as well as to control thermal conduction that could cause excessive pipe cooling.

The RCE standoffs are listed below, with their corresponding thermal node numbers:

Standoff a1 Outboard of +X wing.

Standoff d2 Inboard of +X wing.

Standoff b1 Outboard of +X filter.

Standoff e1 Above +X latching valve.

Standoff h1 Upper pipeline section, inboard of transducer q1.

Standoff k1 Upper central pipeline section, +X side.

Standoff m1 Upper central pipeline section, -X side.

Standoff p1 Upper pipeline section, -X side.

Standoff s1 Above -X latching valve.

Standoff x1 Outboard of -X filter.

Standoff y1 Outboard of -X wing.

Standoff e2 Inboard of -X wing.

Standoff f1 Inner pipe section standoff, +X side.

Standoff g1 Inner pipe section standoff, +X side.

Standoff j1 Inner pipe section standoff, +X side above tank.

Standoff n1 Inner pipe section standoff, -X side above tank.

Standoff r1 Inner pipe section standoff, -X side.

Standoff v1 Inner pipe section standoff, -X side.
