Global Maps of Mars

This page provides quick access to all global maps of Mars that have been published in the PSA. You can easily visualise each map and download the data in both PDS and GIS formats. It is intended that this page will continue to evolve with future releases of similar high-level mapping products.

The maps currently available are surface albedo and mineralogical maps derived from the reflectance data acquired by the Mars Express OMEGA hyperspectral camera. Together they constitutes a unique atlas that will enable users to study the surface of Mars in a global context. Note that you can also browse and visualise the OMEGA Mars Global Maps data set in Google Earth.
