2017 - Total Sun Eclipse - USA (TBD)
The CESAR Team has an adventure soul. We get involved in scientific expeditions to measure astronomical events from different regions on Earth, so as to engage people and students imagination from these unique experiences. As examples, we were involved in the Venus transit in June 2012, and the Mercury transit in May 2016.
VENUS TRANSIT EXPEDITION (2012):
The CESAR Team traveled to Svalbar and Canberra to perform measurements from the Venus transit (2012).
MERCURY TRANSIT EXPEDITION (2016):
The CESAR Team traveled to Chile and Tenerife to perform measurements from the Mercury transit (2016). A retransmission of the event was done during the whole transit at ESAC. |
SOLAR ECLIPSE EXPEDITION (2017):
We are organizing the logistic for the next event: the 2017 Solar Eclipse.
