"Time-Domain Astronomy: a High Energy View":
Deadline for Abstract Submission: Friday March 9th

As announced in previous issues of the XMM-Newton Newsletter

the XMM-Newton Science Operations Centre of the European Space Agency is organising the astrophysical workshop "Time-Domain Astronomy: a High Energy View" on 13-15 June 2018 at ESAC, Madrid, Spain, see:

We take the opportunity to remind of the deadline for abstract submission and other important dates:

Deadline for abstract submission Friday, 9 March 2018
Notification about accepted presentations Monday, 16 April 2018
Early Registration deadline Monday, 30 April 2018

Abstracts for oral and poster presentations can be submitted via the above web page.

Workshop Announcement: "Gamma Cas and its analogs"

The nature of the massive Be star with strong and hard X-ray emission gamma Cassiopeae remains enigmatic. Thanks to observations in the last decades it became clear that gamma Cas is a prototype for the whole new class of stars.

Thee "Gamma Cas and its analogs" workshop, to be held in Strasbourg from 5th to 9th September 2018 will assemble experts in magnetism, binary evolution, X-ray and UV observations, massive star astrophysics, and stellar disks.

Registration is open until 15 June 2018.

More information can be found in the workshop web page:

Yours sincerely,
