ESA Traineeships in space science
ESA offers a number of student and recent graduate internship programmes to work on substantial research projects with members of the ESA Space Science Faculty.
- Final year master's students or recent graduates
- Projects lasting up to 1 year via the ESA Graduate Trainee Programme (EGT) or the ESA National Trainee Programme (NTP)
- Undergraduate and master's students
- 3-6 month Science Internships in space science offered at ESAC in Madrid (Spain) and ESTEC in Noordwijk (The Netherlands). They are part of the ESA Student Internship programme, offered in a broad range of discipline at many of the ESA establishments
- Leiden ESTEC Master’s Project Programme (LEMPP) is a collaboration between ESTEC and Leiden University, offering astronomy masters students the opportunity to work on their 2nd year masters research project with ESTEC supervisors. Call are coordinated periodically by the Faculty at ESTEC.
- 10 week astronomy and astrophysics projects as part of the Leiden/ESA Astrophysics Programme for Summer Students (LEAPS) programme, a joint placement at Leiden Observatory and ESTEC in the Netherlands
