Emily Rickman

Science Operations Scientist

Main Research Fields

My main research interests involve direct imaging and characterisation of long period exoplanets and brown dwarfs:

- Astrometry: Hipparcos and Gaia proper motion anomalies
- Radial velocities of long period exoplanets and brown dwarfs
- Direct imaging
- Emission spectroscopy
- Atmospheric and spectral characterisation of ultra cool exoplanets and brown dwarf companions
- Orbital monitoring
- Searching for benchmark brown dwarfs
- Combining radial velocities and imaging data to obtain model independent masses of long period companions
