Main Research Fields

My research has focused on the observational study of molecules in various astronomical environments. I have investigated the molecular gas in the envelopes of asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars to identify potential precursors that may serve as building blocks of cosmic dust. My later work included the first detections of new molecules in the interstellar medium (ISM), specifically within chemically-rich regions such as molecular clouds.

My research has encompassed:

  • Observations with radio telescopes
  • Molecular spectroscopy
  • Radiative transfer modeling
  • Molecular excitation analysis
  • Estimating molecular abundances

Keywords

  • Astrochemistry
  • Cosmic dust formation
  • Molecular processes
  • AGB star envelopes
  • ISM
  • Millimeter astronomy
