Main Research Fields

My main research interests focus on the various possibilities to use Galileo and other GNSS satellites for scientific purposes. This include scientific activities in the domains of Fundamental Physics (General relativity, fundamental constants, astrometry, quantum technologies, …), Earth Sciences (Geodesy, ionosphere, space weather, GNSS reflectrometry, Gravity field, ...), Metrology (time scales and time transfer, high-precision on-board clocks, …) and some scientific transversal activities (GNSS big data for science, advanced signal processing for GNSS receivers, GNSS Science and education, …).

Currently, I am the coordinator of all ESA activities concerning GNSS Science, Executive Secretary of ESA’s GNSS Science Advisory Committee (GSAC) Board, Chair of ESA’s biennial International Colloquium on Scientific and Fundamental Aspects of GNSS / Galileo and Head the Galileo Navigation Science office (SCI-N), a joint initiative of both ESA’s Directorate of Science and ESA’s Directorate of Galileo Programme & Navigation Related Activities.
