Antonella Vallenari Padova Astronomical Observatory |
Antonella Vallenari obtained her PhD in Padova on the topic of chemical evolution of galaxies. She spent time as a postdoc in Germany and now holds a permanent position at the Padova Observatory as an associated astronomer. Antonella's experience is focused on resolved stellar populations, mainly on clusters and field stars in the Galactic disk and in the Magellanic Clouds. She has been involved in Gaia since 1999 as a member of the RVS Working Group, where she contributed to the science case for the mission. She is now working in CU8 as the manager of the Training Data package, CCB member, and member of the CU8 management team. Since December 2012 she is the deputy chair of DPACE. Published: 03/01/2013 |
